These tutorials are free and you can download them to your PC and/or print them off. Another free taster workshop with the compliments of
Carol and Lynda Out of the Cupboard For many years the materials we use in textile art have included less traditional items and with new products coming on the market all the time we thought we would revisit some old favourites that have been used as backgrounds or embellishments in the past and apply the exciting new paints, sprays and inks that are available to us now. The first surface we are going to look at is Aluminium Kitchen Foil. This is a great surface to work on and supplies are always readily available. In this workshop we look at several surface treatments to create backgrounds that can be used as they are on greetings cards, postcards, ATC's and many other applications. They can then be taken further with the addition of stitch, by hand or machine, to create vessels, bags or wall hangings. We believe that once you start creating these surfaces then many more ideas will present themselves to you. The complete 'Out of the Cupboard' workshop will be available through the Fibre in-Form website early in the New Year. Please make sure you add your name to our mailing list to keep informed of when the new workshop will be available. Carol and Lynda
